Tata Tigor EV Launched in India. Price Starting at Rs. 11.99 Lakhs

Tata Tigor EV has been launched by Tata Motors in India.  Tigor EV is available in four varaints namely XE, XM, XZ+ and XZ+ (O). Their ex-showroom prices starting at ₹ 11.99 lakh for the base XE variant and increases up to ₹ 12.99 lakh for the XZ+ (O) variant.

Bookings for the Tigor EV have begun.  Tata Tigor EV also has an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) tested range of 306 kilometres.

The EV has secured the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP) rating of 4 stars. Tata Tigor EV has adopted the brand's ZipTron powertrain shared with the Nexon EV and will be the second Tata EV powered by the new technology.

Tigor EV has two colour options namely Signature Teal Blue and Daytona Grey. It is being offered with an 8 year and 160,000 kilometres battery and motor warranty.

Tigor EV is equipped with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery with a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor delivering 55 kW or 74 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. This EV can be charged up to 80 per cent in less than 60 minutes using a fast charger and takes 8.5 hours to achieve the same by using a home charger.

This car sports an EV badge and then there are projector headlights, new horizontal fog lamps with integrated LED DRLs, alloy wheels with blue accents and taillamps.

The cabin also comes equipped with creature comforts like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Harmon-sourced 4-speakers sound system, a multi-functional steering wheel and seats have a premium upholstery. It also has a automatic climate control and a digital instrument cluster.

It also has iRA connected car tech along with 30+ features including remote commands, intrusion alert, remote cooling, charging status, time to full charge and remote diagnostics.

The EV has all the necessary safety bits like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, options rear parking camera and seat belt reminder. It has also included hill ascent and hill descent assists. Deliveries started on Tuesday, the company said.
